And The Braying Ass Award Goes To...

Our newest Attorney General, Eric H. Holder Jr. For boldly proclaiming that "Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," Yeah, Eric for driving a stake into the hears of Americans like me who are neither cowards nor racist! He could have stopped there, but why? With foot firmly ensconced in mouth he chose to continue stating "Though race-related issues continue to occupy a significant portion of our political discussion, and though there remain many unresolved racial issues in this nation, we, average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race." That explains why I never see interracial gatherings and also why I have noticed all of these groups of people segregated by race everywhere I go. I hope this is not going to be the change Obama talked about. We are not a nation of racists. This white American is quite comfortable with members of all races and considers the constitutional proclamation that "all men are created equal" to be the final word on the subject. Holder, meanwhile, should practice the age old and respected art of silence. For now his lack of silence has earned him the increasingly popular Braying Ass Award. Please display it with the same pride that you have shown for your country.
